Google Page Speed Service

For the last two years Google has had a page speed analysis service to check for any bottlenecks on the setup of your website (such as compressed HTTP connections, caching static resources, etc). Last year they published an Apache module to perform many typical speedups seamlessly for web requests.

Now they are offering a hosted service called Google Page Speed Service. All you have to do is signup for an account and change your DNS servers to point to their servers and the optimizations are automatically applied! Currently this service is free for select testers, however they plan to open it up and may charge a little for the service.

They provide a testing service as well, to see how much improvement you can gain. I ran this and found out that apparently my site is already greatly optimized! In fact their optimizer degraded the performance of my website!
